Okay! Here’s my first creative family challenge for you all, inspired by Frances. The whole idea is to create a space of heart connection with your family in the midst of your busy week, shifting into a more open, creative, joyful flow, in the every day moment. It doesn’t have to be complicated, it could be anything from cooking together with your kids, to an impromptu dance party, to a no smiling contest, to doing 100 jumping jacks…it might only take 5 minutes, (or it might turn into an hour) but once you open your heart up, the possibilities are truly endless!

Be sure to document your activity in pictures or a video…it does not need to be fancy, it could totally be done with your phone, my method of choice! And since inspiration is contagious, share your results on Bamboo Photography’s facebook page and Frances England’s facebook page, to inspire the rest of us! I’ll choose my favorite to win an autographed copy of her fabulous new CD, Mind of My Own!
And here is my share, which was really inspired by my oldest son. He’s been wanting to make soft pretzels, and once I gave in to the idea of changing the homework/dinner/clean-up/bedtime routine, it became a family affair! We all made a pretzel, even my little two year old (you can see his in the middle!) and we all felt great.

Okay, I know I’ve got some creative readers, so I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!!
ETA: You can still do this challenge even if you don’t have children. You can connect within your heart, with nature, with your neighbors, with your partner… it’s just about being present and creating a space of love and inspiration in your every day life, and sharing it with others!!!
